Larry Ray, The Greatest Con Man Who Ever Lived
In 2010, 50-year-old Larry Ray made Sarah Lawrence College his home by staying in his daughter’s student house. Talia Ray invited her father to hang out in her dorm with her friends and permanently invited him to stay there. Pizza Boxes were strewn on the floor, out-of-date food lingering in the fridge, and unwashed clothes piling up in the dorm room. A foul stench filled the air.
The Beginning
Talia Ray was a student at Sarah Lawrence College, a private arts college in Yonkers, New York. Surrounded by picturesque countryside and scenery, it’s just a 35-minute train ride from the hustle and bustle of New York City.
Sarah Lawrence College was attractive to artsy teens looking to make a career out of their creativity. Before Talia’s father, Larry, moved in with her, most of Talia’s friends had already heard wonderful stories about Larry.
The student had made no secret of her admiration for her father. Talia is a daddy’s girl.
Talia’s parents had separated, and the 2004 divorce had been messy. Talia made no secret about her hate towards her mother, who was eventually granted custody of Talia and her siblings after the divorce.
